Vector Motorsports has made some huge strides in the last 5 years after making some big changes to the company and its personnel. We are excited to share the news with you of our latest change, adding Mike Dereadt, former owner of MJD Performance, as Director of Operations.
Mike will be taking on several roles, including project management, workflow coordination, sales of products/services, and customer service. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge from the GM world, especially in newer (Gen5 Direct Injected GM applications), technical build experience, product development, and much more. “This is great for everyone involved. We are super excited to join forces and bring together the wealth of knowledge from all sides allowing us all to grow into a more “premier” late model performance powerhouse here in Michigan, focusing on GM, Ford, and Mopar performance” comments Mike.
This is one of many changes’ owner/CEO/CFO Daniel Sienkiewicz has made to push the company onward and upward, growing the company while taking on many amazing projects, and expanding capabilities exponentially. Dan, who also owns The Car Guys Complete Auto Repair, which is located on the same property as VMS, continuously adds a personal touch to the company feel and creates a bond with customers that is needed in this industry. He utilizes his vast knowledge and previous engineering experience to work one-on-one with vendors to develop new products and better the existing products for customers, bringing them the best in the industry when it comes to aftermarket modifications, engine builds, superchargers and more. Dan also brings an expansive knowledge for tuning aftermarket EFI systems and camshaft development, as well as a successful drag racing career. Fueled with passion for this industry, Dan provides a great foundation to this company and its future.
In mid-2016, Dan brought car enthusiast Samantha Moore to the VMS team as co-owner/CEO/CMO. As a business owner of Web & Moore, she was able to apply her skills and grow the marketing side of the company, not only redesigning the company’s website, but also the overall company image. With her Geophysics degree from the University of Michigan, Sam also brought an immense amount of mathematical knowledge and understanding for software/programming, which led her into the world of tuning and aftermarket calibrations and eventually into the lead calibrator position at VMS. Customers immediately noticed the tuning differences not only in torque/power numbers, but also in overall drivability of any mild to wild vehicle build. It’s not every day that you can take a 1000rwhp car and have drivability and manors comparable to or better than stock. She continues to push boundaries in the tuning world every day, striving to push the company to the top in the tuning world.
For the last couple years, Dan and Sam have been working nonstop on redesigning and redefining this company. Dan added, “We have spent a lot of time focusing on the right products, processes, and finding the right people. I think finding the right people is the most important, and we finally have a winning team. Besides the addition of Mike Dereadt, we also have an amazing crew of technicians, fabricators, and additional staff.” Samantha finds the addition of Mike to already be beneficial and promising and says, “It’s truly refreshing to see someone share as much passion and drive as Dan and I have for this industry.”
Now, we can truly define Vector Motorsports as the NEW Vector Motorsports. “We cannot thank you enough for your support, past, present and future. We all look forward to working with you to create the best products and experience for all of your late model vehicles!” – Team VMS.
