Summary from our trip to the NMRA Races in Hebron, OH!
Our trip to National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, left us excited. Despite the hot and humid weather conditions, our shop 2014 Mustang qualified #1 overall for our NMRA Class, Roush Super Stang with a .001 RT and also qualified #1 for Top Speed at 139mph!
Due to the weather, the track was very inconsistent, making our 60ft times difficult to manage. Not only that, the air was bad, and slowing everyone down due to the extreme heat, requiring us to bump our dial in time up to 10.1 for the race. However, storms rolled through Saturday night, cooling the air down, causing us to “break out” during the Quarter Finals race that Sunday morning, even though we were hard on the brakes at the top of the track.
This NMRA event was definitely a bit tricky and frustrating at times due to the changing weather conditions, and battling heat and humidity, however we are very pleased with the overall results and proud of the #1 qualifying position!
The only changes we made to the car for this race (since the last NMRA event), was adding the Steeda Anti-Roll bar which has definitely helped keep the tires planted square.
Our next steps include a CircleD Torque Converter upgrade to see if we can bring this Mustang further into the 9s while making the same power. We also plan on upgrading the front brakes to 4-piston Brembos, as well as adding a “Killer Chiller” to help keep the blower temps down.

We have kept this as stock as possible to this point. The current configuration is a forged lower end, out-of-the-box Roush TVS 2300 (no porting or housing upgrades), E85, Kooks Headers, and our custom Vector Motorsports Tuning, STOCK heads, cams, 6R80 transmission, converter, rear end, etc.
